Parent Educators Northwest™

Practical Information = Confident Parenting Decisions

Parenthood is a life-changing journey that takes you along the most extraordinary path of wonder, joy, challenges, and fulfillment. While on this journey, obstacles may temporarily get in your way that you may not know how to address. You may find yourself fumbling through, unsure of the decisions you are making and need help to build your confidence, break through the obstacle and get peacefully back on your journey. We are not only here to help you get back on track, we will also give you practical tools and information to help you stay there!

Through informal talks and discussions designed for parents with children birth to age 5 (and beyond), our Parent Education Professionals will give you the information you need to help address your parenting challenges and concerns.  Design your own talks or pick from some of the more popular talks we give. When obstacles seem too large to figure out on your own or you simply need a fresh, outside perspective, we can help by offering useful information, tips, ideas and options.

Sample Talks:

  • Getting Yourself Prepared for Bringing Home Your Baby
  • 5 Common Challenges Parents Face: Birth to 4 months
  • 5 Common Challenges Parents Face: 4-12 Months
  • Your Developing Child:  What to Expect and When
  • Emotion Coaching
  • Sleep:  You and your Child
  • Baby Makes Three:  Adjusting to your new life without sacrificing your marriage

Whether it is a one time meeting, or a series of talks, our goal is to keep parents moving forward toward the goals they have for their child and family. Talks support individual parenting styles, honoring the unique needs of each family. Each presentation gives parent information they need at the moment as well as insight on some common road-blocks. Having insight ahead of time will help to remove or lessen the impact of obstacles before they surface.

Goals of Each Talk:

  • provide accurate, timely and useful information
  • empower parents with information and knowledge that can be used in their  own parenting environment
  • help instill a sense of confidence and self-reliance
  • create a sense of comfort in the decisions new parents are making

Parents walk away feeling well informed, encouraged, supported, and prepared to make a decision or take action. They are much more at ease with themselves and confident with the choices they are making. There is always a choice and the choice you make should be your own.

Release the tension, gain new knowledge and perspective and live your new journey in peace and confidence.
